About GSLS

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is accredited by the National Lutheran Accreditation Agency and the Missouri Chapter of Non-Public Schools State Accrediting Association, both recognized by the state of Missouri.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is an Association Christian school for students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Good Shepherd was founded not only to serve the families in our Lutheran churches, but also to provide a Christian education for all students in the Columbia community. Good Shepherd has been partnering with families to help educate their children with strong academics and a strong foundation rooted in God’s Word since 2002.   Working together with the home, we partner in the instruction of all subjects and the encouragement of an active faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Our highly qualified educators balance high standards and a caring environment while nurturing the individual talents of each student. The curriculum at Good Shepherd is based on the standards developed by the State of Missouri and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and enhanced with a membership through the Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA) based out of St. Louis.  The LESA organization helps provide ongoing professional development for our teachers and works to rework the state standards so that they are written through a biblical view.   Please contact us with any questions you may have.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is a ministry of the Columbia Lutheran Association of Schools.
